Salesmen are often unfairly considered to be less than forthcoming. And used-car salesmen are sometimes the worst! So, what can a used-car salesman teach you about the Bible? More than you think. Our guest is driven by the Biblical principles of honesty and integrity, which makes him perfect for the job of Chairman of the Board of Proclaiming The Word Ministries.

Interview: Dr. David Garner
3/20/09
If you had known David Garner some years ago, you never would have guessed that he’d become a professor at a renowned theological seminary. He wouldn’t have guessed, either. But God had much bigger plans for David than just sitting in a teacher’s chair. In this interview, conducted by Dr. Lillback, you’ll meet a man who is a living example of how God’s plans and promises are far greater than anyone can ask or imagine.

Interview: Brian Habig
3/6/09

Everybody loves a winner. Especially when the prize includes a trip to Geneva, Switzerland! And the man we'll meet on today's Friday Forum originally came in second–but somehow, God wanted him to win the first prize anyway. The prize: a trip to Geneva for the Commemoration Ceremonies of the 500th Anniversary of John Calvin. And the winner? Listen in to Dr. Lillback’s telephone interview with Brian Habig.

Interview: Wall Of Misconception
9/5/08
“…If the American people, for whatever reason, through their elected representatives, decide that the Ten Commandments should be removed from local courthouses, that ‘under God’ should be removed from the Pledge of Allegiance, that ‘In God We Trust’ be removed from currency and coinage…then it is perfectly in keeping with the Constitution and the democratically determined decisions of a free people to do so. [But] activist judges exceed their authority when they require [italics ours] their removal, and they deserve derision when they try to persuade us that support for such [removal] can be found in…the text of the Constitution.”

U. S. Senator Rick Santorum, from his foreword to Wall Of Misconception by Dr. Peter Lillback

Interview: Doug Birdsall

From a very early age, Doug Birdsall knew the importance of World Missions. Recently Dr. Birdsall became Executive Chairman of the Lausanne Movement, fulfilling his desire for "engaging big questions with bold faith for Christ’s glory." Read about Capetown 2010 here. Dr. Peter Lillback conducts the interview.

Interview: Dr. Gary Cass
1/11/08
The apostle Peter tells us to always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who questions your faith. But he also warns us to do so with gentleness, respect, and a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against you may be ashamed of their slander. As many of us know first hand, personal attacks on Christians have skyrocketed in recent years. Dr. Gary Cass has written a powerful book called Christian Bashing, in which he sets forth an orderly and Biblical way for Christians to respond. Our executive producer, Paul Karlberg, conducts the interview.

Interview: Dr. Samuel Fang
8/3/07
In recent years there's been an explosion of adoption of Chinese orphans, mostly little girls. This has creatied a real need for dedicated mission organizations designed to bridge the gap between caring American families and the often abandoned children of China. One such organization is called Living Hope International, based in Fort Washington, PA. Its founder and president is Dr. Samuel Fang, the subject of this Friday Forum Interview by Dr. Peter Lillback.

Interview: Dr. Peter Jones
6/22/07
Gnosticism has returned with a vengeance as a facet of the New Age Movement. One of its most flagrant recent examples is Dan Brown's best-selling book, The Da Vinci Code, and the enormously popular movie based on the book. But there are many others just like it. In this Friday Forum interview, Dr. Peter Lillback speaks with one of today's foremost writers on the myths of modern spirituality, Dr. Peter Jones. Dr. Jones is currently professor of New Testament at Westminster Seminary California.

Interview: Dr. J. Alan Groves

On November 30, 2006, Dr. Peter Lillback, host of Proclaiming The Word, and President of Westminster Theological Seminary, had the privilege of conducting what may have been the last recorded interview with a dear friend and colleague, Dr. J. Alan Groves. At the time, Dr. Groves was Professor of Old Testament and Executive Director of The Center For Advanced Biblical Research at Westminster. He was also a man facing the daily challenge of living with an incurable disease. Dr. Groves went home to be with his Lord on Monday, February 5, 2007.
