To our many friends of Proclaiming The Word Ministries

For the ministry of Proclaiming the Word, 2009 was an extraordinary year. Over 80,000 visitors came to our website; 20 half-hour TV programs were produced and broadcast nationwide; plus, as we entered our tenth year of ministry, I retired as Senior Pastor of Proclamation Presbyterian Church (after nearly 20 years of service), to become the full-time President of Westminster Theological Seminary.
So what will become of Proclaiming The Word broadcast ministries?
• PTW unanimously voted to cease being an independent ministry, and to give all its assets to Westminster Theological Seminary.
• The Seminary voted to incorporate these assets into Upholding The Truth, an online interactive evangelistic ministry of the Seminary, and are now prayerfully discussing the if, when, and how of a new, successor media ministry.
• Out of respect for and friendship with Proclamation Church, it is believed that a name change is in order, to avoid possible confusion between any new media ministry and the Church.
• Keep checking our NEWS page for advance notice of the name change and other details.
Needless to say, as we continue our prayerful discussions concerning these things, our website continues to be of service. Along with our extensive audio library, Proclaiming The Word’s television programs are also available on DVD, should you desire to make use of them. And of course, we covet your faithful prayers in the coming days as these matters unfold.
